Flower Talk

Do you ever feel like your colors are never enough?

One well-meaning flower says to another:

Iris, why are you so blue? Please change the way you express yourself, so others feel happier.

Amaryllis, your determination is too strong. Please change the way you express yourself, so others feel more confident.

Sunflower, really? So bright when others are feeling down? Please change the way you express yourself, so others feel less annoyed.

Salvia, your unique beauty is intimidating. Please change the way you express yourself, so others feel better about themselves.

Iris was created to express in blues, Amaryllis in reds, Sunflower in yellows, and Salvia in purples. Flowers can't change their colors, so maybe we should look for the beauty in them rather than ask them to change how they express? Do we really think this world would look more beautiful if everything were grey?
