The Ones Who Don't Fit

You know you don’t fit in this world
To be blunt, you are too good for this world
You know it, but you’re too humble to say such a thing aloud
The ones who do fit in this world
They try to tear you down
They do it in so many various ways
They say if you reject their god, you’re not good enough
They say if you don’t accept their politics, you’re not good enough
They say if you question their sacred “fill in the blank,” you’re not good enough
But you’ve always been good enough
No, even more than that
You are better than all of it
You see through all of the illusions
And that ability has made you not fit for this world
They sense something unfamiliar in you, thus offensive
Celebrate your uniqueness
Celebrate your vision
Celebrate your freedom
You know you don’t fit in this world
And good for you because that unfitness
Will lead you out of this unfit world
